A leader in battery component production

Our client specializes in battery materials and battery cores. It offers eco-sustainable projects like LiBS (Lithium Battery Separators), hydrogen, and energy plants, with a highly qualified workforce and experience gained from numerous international projects.

The challenge

Increases in production demand meant that the company had to expand its facility by integrating two new production lines. This expansion involved enlarging the well water treatment plant, essential for producing the steam used for all the facility’s services.

Extremely cold water conditions and stringent quality parameters further complicated the project, demanding innovative technical and engineering solutions to ensure treated water always meets the compulsory standards.

The project

The facility’s expansion project included updating the instrumentation and process logic to improve operational efficiency and quality.

Designed and supplied to operate 24/7, the plant has a maximum capacity of 60 cubic meters per hour and is divided into two industrial lines, each 30 m³/h. A dual-train system was implemented to ensure greater efficiency and operational continuity. The main objective was to treat the well water through ultrafiltration (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) demineralization processes.

The required parameters for the outgoing water quality from the plant specified a conductivity below 20 microsiemens and a pH between 8 and 10. Additionally, an in-line heating system was implemented to maintain the optimal chemical-physical characteristics for passing through the membranes, holding temperature constant between 11° and 18°C despite load variations.

The supplied solution

We implemented a comprehensive solution with new instrumentation and enhanced control systems, managed by an internally engineered PLC, to ensure fully automatic and remotely monitored operation.

  • Ultrafiltration (UF)
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) Demineralization
  • Tanks for raw and filtered water
  • Chemical dosing systems
